Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years’ experience in shipping/receiving; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to operate a computer and use database software.
  • Knowledge of computer inventory and shipping system.
  • Ability to use a 10-key calculator.
  • Knowledge of trucking routes and shipping functions.

Nice To Haves

  • EMS or Manufacturing Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares bills of lading for each shipment and checks and records all items loaded for shipment.
  • Allocates, prints, and invoices packing lists.
  • Enter routers from productions.
  • Responsible for picking up completed assemblies from the production floor.
  • Responsible for seeing that orders are shipped via the correct method on the scheduled date (when available).
  • Assist in reconciling inventory errors.
  • Maintain the inventory accuracy as it relates to shipping.
  • Responsible for shipping RMAs and other items as needed.
  • Coordinates truck and container pick up for customer orders.
  • On received goods, checks and counts all items unloaded from trucks or trailers.
  • Checks suppliers count and reports discrepancies to carrier and to the Purchasing Department.
  • Enters data in the computer for all inbound, outbound, and internal movement of materials in the warehouse.
  • Generates receivers and prints out receivers with information that was put into the computer.
  • Transfers manifest of all material that was received and shipped.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks, and moving freight as needed.
  • Required to operate a forklift as needed.
  • Examines articles for defects and shortages.
  • Lift and carry totes/boxes from one location to another.
  • Other assignments as assigned.
