About The Position

We are seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Associate on a 6 month contract-to-permanent hire basis to support daily warehouse operations, including the handling, movement, and organization of incoming and outgoing materials. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on warehouse experience who is comfortable operating a forklift and working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will help ensure shipments are processed accurately, inventory is handled safely, and materials are moved efficiently throughout the facility. Forklift certification is not required, but prior experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution setting is strongly preferred. This position offers the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative team while playing a key role in keeping warehouse operations running smoothly and on schedule. This role will require a background check and drug test upon an offer being presented. #LAT

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2–3+ years of experience in a warehouse, shipping and receiving, or distribution environment
  • Experience operating a forklift; certification is not required but is a plus
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving documentation such as packing slips, bills of lading, and delivery receipts
  • Experience entering shipment or inventory information into warehouse management systems or basic tracking tools
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active warehouse environment
  • Strong attention to detail when verifying shipments, documentation, and inventory counts
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and operate warehouse equipment safely
  • Reliable communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members, drivers, and supervisors
  • Basic computer skills and comfort using scanners or inventory tracking system

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documentation
  • Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments while ensuring all shipping documentation is accurate and complete
  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment
  • Move materials to designated storage areas and maintain organized inventory locations
  • Pick, stage, and prepare materials for orders, production, or internal distribution
  • Complete and maintain shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and delivery logs
  • Enter shipment, inventory, and receiving data into warehouse management systems or internal tracking tools
  • Report shipment discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory variances to supervisors or appropriate departments
  • Assist with routine inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation of inventory records
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while following all safety procedures
  • Communicate shipment status, delivery updates, and inventory issues to team members and management as needed
