Requirements

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handler positions preferred, but willing to train the right person
  • Forklift certification, or ability to obtain within a reasonable time frame
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Strong attention to detail is essential for accurate documentation of shipments and received goods.
  • Familiarity with warehousing practices and methods or the ability to learn
  • Data Entry, math and computer skills
  • Effective leadership and team skills
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills
  • Proficiency in inventory databases and systems
  • Time Management skills, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Employee is scheduled from 7:00AM-3:30PM with frequent OT after shift. Mandatory flexibility.
  • Routinely having the ability to get on and off forklift (or company equipment) frequently to load and unload assigned trailers and move products throughout production site.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, stand, bend, and twist reaching in awkward positions.
  • Being able to navigate safely and avoid falls or accidents, especially in environments with uneven surfaces or heights.
  • Ability to lift 50+lbs for loading/unloading product.
  • Use of hands and fingers to perform job function.
  • Ability to be on your feet consistently up to 8-12 hours.
  • Having the ability to withstand extreme temperatures (hot & cold) as this position will routinely require indoor/outdoor exposure for extended time periods. This position does occasionally get exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles along with outside weather conditions.
  • Ability to constantly wear company equipment required personal protective equipment including but not limited to; safety glasses, hard hat, earplugs, safety shoes, and any other necessary items based on assigned task.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety at all times and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Utilize material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks hand trucks, skids, etc., to stage materials and load trucks.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming/outgoing materials against purchase orders, BOL’s (bill of ladings), and packing slips.
  • Read, understand and comply with relevant federal, state, local and company safety regulations and policies (e.g., OSHA, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, customer service, and production. Build and maintain positive relationships within each service area/department; coordinating and utilizing resources to ensure all products are handled, store and shipped to established guidelines, at the lowest possible cost.
  • Work closely with management staff to understand and assist with implemented action plans to achieve department objectives and improve efficiencies.
  • Follow company recommended techniques for lifting, stacking, manipulating and handling materials and operating power industrial vehicles.
  • Receive raw materials, components or equipment unloaded from trucks.
  • Maintain accurate records of goods received and damaged goods.
  • Assist with other warehouse or production support duties as needed or assigned.
  • Consistently shows up on time, ready to work, meeting deadlines and production schedules without supervision. Ability to handle pressured situations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • All other duties as assigned.
