We are currently seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Associate in our Tempe, AZ location to support both our Testing and Calibration labs. The responsibilities include: Initial receipt inspection on purchased items and customer products, including dangerous goods such as batteries and explosive devices Identification of materials and jobs at time of receipt Review and process documentation in preparation for shipment of equipment Packaging and shipping items according to specified requirements or appropriate to part Housekeeping of Shipping/Receiving Area Training: The Associate will receive training on carrier shipping requirements, Quality Assurance System procedures, and specific training on the applicable ATS procedures for processes to be performed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Dangerous good shipping requirements and processes
  • Willingness to work with and handle small explosive devices as well as batteries
  • Ability to receive an Explosive Handling License
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • High level of attention to detail on paperwork and equipment
  • Ability to continually self-evaluate the accuracy of your work
  • Ability to focus on routine tasks in a busy environment
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Mechanical aptitude to recognize different types of equipment
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. as often as 60 times per day
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment without heat or air conditioning
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment and operating with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to realize the importance of the accuracy of seemingly routine tasks and how the successful completion of these tasks is vital to customer satisfaction
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using UPS and FedEx shipping software programs is desirable
  • Forklift certification is desirable
  • Experience with database management with programs such as Sharepoint is desirable
