About The Position
Shipping & Receiving Associate Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, high-energy Shipping & Receiving Associate to support daily logistics, packaging, and material flow operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring outbound shipments are packaged correctly, materials are handled safely, and workflow remains efficient. This position is ideal for someone with prior shipping/receiving experience — or a motivated, reliable individual early in their career who brings strong work ethic, hustle, and consistent attendance. This is a direct-hire opportunity with our customer.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and consistent attendance record
- Ability to safely operate a hi-lo (forklift experience required)
- Experience using basic hand tools and measuring equipment
- Ability to package and secure shipments properly
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
- No physical restrictions; must be able to lift, bend, push, and stand for extended periods
- Able to work outdoors when necessary
- Quick thinker and proactive problem solver
- Team-oriented with a positive, coachable attitude
- Able to take direction from Supervisors, Managers, and Toolmaker Leaders
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to pass a background check
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and components
- Prepare outbound shipments using proper packaging methods including: Shrink wrap Boxes and skids Pallets and wood crates Tarps and straps
- Build crates and secure shipments using nail guns and basic hand tools
- Safely operate a hi-lo (forklift) for loading, unloading, and material movement
- Accurately measure materials using tape measures and basic measuring equipment
- Ensure shipments are properly labeled, documented, and staged
- Work collaboratively with Toolmakers, Supervisors, and Production Leaders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving area
- Operate efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Assist with outdoor shipment preparation as required (weather exposure possible)
