About The Position

Our Shipping & Receiving Associate works closely with team members to complete accurate shipping duties in the warehouse. This position provides support for other members of the department when necessary. The job involves visually inspecting and signing for products, applying proper labels, receiving products into the system, communicating product received, pulling and shipping products, unloading/loading transfer trailers, completing shipping documentation, ensuring items are identified and packaged properly, and maintaining an organized and clean warehouse.

Requirements

• Ability to safely operate a forklift and stretch-wrap machine.
• Must be able to read the bill of materials.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly according to requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Computer skills and ability to conduct data entry.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification
• Previous industrial or manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and sign for the product.
• Apply proper labels to the product and store appropriately.
• Receive product into the system and document appropriately.
• Communicate product received and distribute paperwork.
• Pull and ship product as required.
• Responsible to unload/load transfer trailers from other buildings.
• Accurately complete shipping documentation for customer shipments.
• Help ensure all items are identified properly and packaged appropriately to prevent damage.
• Communicate with support personnel via radio for clearance of dock doors and production needs.
• Communicate concerns, shortages, or issues to the supervisor; helping to resolve any areas of concern.
• Maintain an organized and clean warehouse.
