About the position
The Shipping Associate position at Prysmian Group in Claremont, NC involves meeting or exceeding production goals for the shift worked, maintaining attendance as defined in the employee handbook, and ensuring all products meet the requirements set by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems. The role requires compliance with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines, as well as adherence to all operating procedures. The Shipping Associate is accountable for the final packaging of quality products and must understand the SAP operating system to maintain transactional integrity in their daily role. Additionally, the position requires the ability to obtain and retain forklift certification, maintain 5S/safety standards, and accurately load finished, packaged products. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor or a member of management.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed production goals as established for the shift worked.
- Maintain attendance as defined in current published employee handbook.
- Ensure all products meet requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems.
- Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.
- Accountable for final packaging of quality product.
- Understand the SAP operating system to maintain transactional integrity.
- Obtain and retain forklift certification.
- Work to maintain 5S/safety standards.
- Accurate loading of finished, packaged product.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to complete cross training OJT for Cutline Associate Position in a timely manner.
- Experience in cable manufacturing or handling/packaging/loading of fiber optic cable.
