Requirements

• Background in warehouse logistics
• Knowledge of safety techniques and procedures
• Positive customer service orientation
• Mechanically inclined
• Able to work well with other team members
• Forklift certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in a computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
• Oversee and/or perform loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
• Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
• Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems
• Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
• Complete deliveries by loading / unloading at customer and supplier sites
• Complete deliveries by driving company truck (light) or van to customers
• Need to be able to pull a trailer hitched to the back of the truck
