The position involves confirming that all order data and quality document data match and are properly signed off. The role requires close collaboration with the quality team to ensure that packaging information sheets, specifications, and Special Process Instructions (SPI’s) are current and accurate according to contracts and any modifications. This includes handling FAI documentation, special bags, markings, boxes, and crates. The individual will also work with third-party inspectors regarding any changes in shipping policies or specifications. Additionally, the role includes inspecting products for Foreign Object Debris (FOD) contamination before packaging, ensuring the physical condition and order data are accurate prior to packaging, and preparing and packaging fuel cells according to order specifications. The position requires communication with the sales team to address issues such as damage, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications. The individual will prepare boxes or crates to meet shipping requirements, ensure that shipments have the correct documents attached, requisition and store shipping materials, and serve as a backup for the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator and Receivers. The role also involves keeping the packaging area and shipping dock clean and orderly and requires the ability to operate and learn to use a forklift.
