About The Position

The Shipping & Storage Representative is responsible for storing and transporting rolls of paper from the machine to the warehouse in a timely manner and rolls of paper onto trailers or rail cars for shipping to customers. The Representative must be able to read orders, possess basic mathematical skills, complete accurate shipping documentation, and be able to operate a clamp truck.

Responsibilities

• Read orders and prepare reports legibly and properly.
• Communicate orally with all personnel in the plant.
• Operate a calculator for basic mathematical computations.
• Operate a computerized scanning machine for raw material tracking.
• Climb onto an industrial truck and operate two foot pedals.
• Occasionally climb a ladder.
• Maneuver the clamp truck and raw materials around crowded areas.
• Maneuver items manually that are 50 pounds or less.
• Ensure guards are in place and follow lock-tag-try procedures.
• Observe hazards and follow plant and department safety rules.
