Shipping Material Handler - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Join a team that works together, looks out for one another, and keeps production moving. We’re looking for a second shift Shipping Material Handler who takes pride in their work and understands the value of teamwork on the floor. In this role, you’ll accurately perform manual work in the shipping, storing, and issuing of Hampel products and supplies in a warehouse setting. You will be responsible for handling the shipping and receiving area after hours, completing all required paperwork, unloading and loading trucks, and filling documents. This position is eligible for up to a $2,000 sign-on bonus and up to a 15% pre-tax profit share paid quarterly—because when the team succeeds, everyone shares in the results.
Requirements
- Previous forklift driving experience.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- The ability to pass forklift certification training at Hampel Corp.
Responsibilities
- Stage and prepare paperwork for all the day’s shipments.
- Pull orders for daily shipping.
- Accurately load trucks per packing slip and complete correlating paperwork.
- Maintain staging area, put parts away in warehouse.
- Accurately complete bin to bin transfers in the inventory control system.
- Flexible with scheduled hours to ensure shipments made on time per customer requirements.
- Update shipping board on a daily basis
- Other Shipping department tasks, after shipping hours
- Repack items for shipping.
- Label product as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
