About The Position

The Logistics Manager at Trinity Plastics Inc. is responsible for coordinating logistics for both domestic and international outsourced products. This role involves managing container scheduling and unloading, reviewing unloading efficiencies, and ensuring optimal logistics operations through strategic planning and team leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  • Ability to manage job-related stress and foster productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Create distribution strategies to optimize logistics operations.
  • Manage and lead warehouse and distribution staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and transportation partners to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor and analyze distribution performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and oversee stock control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Work with sales and production to align distribution strategies with business goals.
  • Prepare and manage the distribution budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and analyze warehouse performance metrics for improvement.
  • Manage container scheduling and order supplies for damaged imported products.
  • Oversee container receiving and coordinate material transfers to IBS, Lolita, TX, and Haremar, Vaughan, ON.
  • Manage all outside warehouses and facilitate the transfer of products from Belleville to shipping warehouses.
  • Address plant-level complaint reports.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the General Manager.
