We are currently recruiting for a Shipping/Logistics Clerk to work at our South Plainfield, NJ location. This role will primarily support our evening/overnight operations , with a preferred regular schedule of 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM. Initial training will take place on 1 st and 2 nd shift. Schedule flexibility may be available depending on candidate availability and business needs. Hourly Rate within $18.50 - $21.00. Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable. Requirements

  • High school diploma or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics operations
  • 3+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse operations
  • Ability to use data in making logistics more efficient
  • Understanding of both warehouse and transportation requirements
  • Experience processing shipments using UPS and FedEx software
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides

  • 2+ customer experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy of orders and shipping documents.
  • Identify and fix shipping errors.
  • Prepare Bills of lading, manifests and shipments.
  • Receive orders and add to inventory.
  • Works with shipping & operations teams to meet the required daily activities.
  • Collaborates and communicates with customer service representatives, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products about information related to the shipment.
  • Compiles carrier and route assignments.
  • Tracks, traces, and updates the status of shipments.
  • Maintain accurate and consistent records.
  • Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
