Requirements

GED or High School Diploma.
Proficient in English.
Minimum three years’ experience driving 6,000 lbs. or heavier forklifts.
Proficient understanding of basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and communicate effectively.
Possess a strong team spirit.
Ability to be flexible to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
Capable of lifting/moving boxes weighing 50 lbs or less.
Must pass background check and drug test.
DOT medical exam required to operate company vehicles.
Able to adapt to all weather conditions.
Able to work overtime ad hoc (due to late trucks/weather delays).
Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately.
Exhibits a service oriented and a customer focused attitude in performing daily functions.
Shows the ability to work well under pressure, such as when multiple trucks are onsite.
Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills; displays reading comprehension skills.
Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-related departments.

Nice To Haves

1 – 2 years’ experience operating straddle lifters preferred.

Responsibilities

Takes fini shed units off exit deck and staged for weighing, then lot.
Loads fini shed units onto trucks in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
Collects and returns skates to proper location.
Keeps the yard orderly, neat, clean and free of debris.
Assist Shipping Supervisor with clerical duties when needed.
Brings units back into building if needed.
Assists Receiving/Warehouse in unloading sheet metal from trucks.
Communicates effectively and efficiently with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Assists with Year End Inventory tasks as needed.
Safely operates various pieces of warehouse/yard equipment (Forklifts etc.)
Actively participate as a member of the team to move the team towards completion of goals.
Takes the initiative to find, identify and propose changes to processes not working well.
Follows all existing company policies and procedures.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
