Shipping Loader I 1st Shift Position Summary The purpose of this position is to stage, label, and load windows onto trailers. This is done by hand or with the use of a forklift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Ability to pass color blindness test
- Experience in warehousing or shipping environment preferred
- Use of hand held scanner a plus
- Experience using computers.
- Be vigilant about safety
- Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence
Responsibilities
- Stage (windows, sliding doors, or screens) for next day’s shipment.
- Use the packing list to locate products and stage for loading onto trailers.
- Use proper loading techniques for stacking product. Secur product with proper straps.
- Verify no windows were left behind at the end of every shift.
- Keep work area neat and clean.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed for business purposes.
