Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality. Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities• Ensure that shipping employees are instructed and trained in the care and safe operations of equipment. • Review records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials. Preform continuous inspection of products to ensure quality standards are met. • Ensure that all equipment is in good operating condition. • Promote positive relations and interdepartmental communication and cooperation. • Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel through enforcement of safety policies and procedures, including inspections and periodic safety meetings, etc. • May occasionally work in place of employees out sick, on vacation, etc. • Plan and adjust work assignments of personnel to cover all phases of shipping. • Maintain cleanliness of work area. • Ensure compliance with all company rules, policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, etc..). • Perform other duties as directed by supervision.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalence.

Nice To Haves

Four (4) or more years experience in shipping or related fields.
