About The Position

The Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing the shipping processes within the Order Fulfillment department, ensuring that all orders are processed correctly and efficiently under the supervision of the Order Fulfillment Manager and Production Manager. This role involves staging, loading, and coordinating deliveries, as well as assisting in production tasks when necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Knowledge of reading and writing the English language
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret important instructions, guidelines, and/or communications

Responsibilities

• Stage skids for chick boxes per delivery schedule for USPS
• Load chicks onto skids per delivery schedule for USPS
• Strap skids and ensure they are loaded on the correct truck per USPS schedule
• Assist in Order Fulfillment tasks such as postal station operations, box label placement, strapping, and packing chicks
• Assist with loading of trucks for commercial deliveries
• Assist with filter and truck washing on non-hatch days
• Coordinate commercial deliveries with Logistics Supervisor and load trucks per schedule
• Gather supplies for egg pickups as needed
• Coordinate with OF/Logistics Supervisor to unload fowl delivered
• Operate CMVs as needed
