About The Position

We are currently seeking a Shipping Lead. This position is expected to coordinate and process shipments and deliveries of finished goods. They are also expected to oversee the shipping department in the absence of the shipping supervisor. Pay Range - $22-$25 per hour DOE

Requirements

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and written.
  • Possess computer skills and be competent with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain organized area.
  • Able to concentrate, focus, and pay strict attention to detail to fulfill roles and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a Team.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
  • May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Oversee shipping department in the absence of the Production Control Manager
  • Review daily reports and metrics and process work accordingly
  • Coordinate and process shipments and deliveries of finished goods
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • The Lead position acts as an interface with Work Center/Production personnel, Customer Service and other departments and work groups as necessary
  • Assigns work to work center team members and ensures work flow is productive.
  • Enforces behavioral based safety policies to secure a safe work environment
  • Models’ appropriate employee behavior and reinforces Sonaca North America policies and procedures
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays as needed.
