About The Position

The Shipping Lead is responsible for the products and shipping department by: gathering, keeping stock, and ordering products that meet customer requirements; product planning and product marketing; defining the products department vision; shipping and receiving vendor and client orders; working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams and Customer Service Executives to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The individual will be required to work closely with the sales team and be responsible for growing the products division in a manner that supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED. BS or BA degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of three years of laboratory experience or similar experience with customer service, sample login and creation of sample collection kits
  • Must be able to work standing for most of the day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on repeated basis
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment
  • Oversee the storage, organization, and distribution of products and supplies in the warehouse
  • Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and ensure accurate stock levels and timely order fulfillment
  • Review invoices, consumption reports, and demand forecasts to maintain adequate supply of products to assure client satisfaction in normal and peak delivery periods
  • Manage the procurement and distribution of shipping labels, both internally to the various company locations and externally to the clients
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile variances
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Implement and enforce quality control standards to ensure accuracy and integrity of all products received and shipped. Address and resolve any quality issues promptly
  • Prepare regular reports on warehouse operations, including key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Assures compliance with health and safety and regulatory requirements and serves as a resource for employees
  • Adherence to QA and QC protocols
  • Responsible for approval of time worked, approving paid time off and other administrative duties.
  • Develops and monitors group work schedules based on current and projected workloads and adjusts staffing resources as needed
  • Ensures that the laboratory group members maintain effective communication in order to eliminate waste and scheduling delays. Continually developing a team that works well together
  • Adherence to corporate policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Responsible for departmental SOPs
  • Sets targets, standards for and monitors productivity and timeliness within the group
  • Responsible for maintaining of proper inventory of supplies to effectively manage costs while meeting customer objectives and needs
