About The Position

This position is responsible for the timely and safe transport, unloading, and movement of materials while adhering to all Tyson Foods policies and procedures. This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.

Requirements

  • Successful candidates may not be allowed to apply for another position for six (6) months unless the position is a promotion
  • If a job posting fails to produce any qualified candidates, the company may assign the position to a qualified probationary Team Member or recruit from the outside.
  • Must have completed 90-day probationary period to apply.
  • If a non-probationary period team member is not selected, probationary team members will be considered.
  • Must have a satisfactory attendance record of 3 points or less.
  • Must not have received a written warning/suspension in the last 6 months.
  • The Team Member must be willing and able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The Team Member is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme cold.
  • The Team Member will work where the noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Flexibility in wrist and hand movements.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to move heavy objects (up to 2,000 lbs) with mechanical lifting devices.
  • Must be able to drive and operate a forklift safely.
  • Ability to move heavy forklift equipment (e.g., batteries).
  • Strong communication skills to work with Quality Control, Purchasing, Production, and Supervisors.
  • Ability to accurately record data in unloading reports, inventory sheets, and inspection forms.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and the use of hand‑held scanners.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support Receiving by unloading packaging and ingredient trailers safely and efficiently.
  • Unload packaging materials and ingredients into designated storage bays without damage.
  • Perform all required safety checks before and during unloading.
  • Accurately complete unloading reports, including Incoming Carrier Inspection Reports (if applicable).
  • Keep production lines continuously stocked with materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout all assigned work areas.
  • Operate the EIM system for loading, inventory movement, and finished goods management.
  • Pump bulk ingredients as required and submit samples to the QA Lab for approval.
  • Coordinate daily flour unloading and silo assignments with the supervisor.
  • Report any damaged incoming product to supervision.
  • Hang and brush masa totes as needed, ensuring correct product selection for each line.
  • Complete masa dump logs accurately.
  • Clean and inspect outbound trailers.
  • Record cold product temperatures and immediately report any out-of-spec readings.
  • Load outbound trucks with correct, allocated products and complete all required paperwork.
  • Obtain yard tractor certification (if required for the role).
  • Safely assist yard tractor drivers with trailer spotting.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
