About The Position

Safely operate a sit-down powered industrial truck (PIT);
Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepare items for shipment;
Load and unload trailers;
Complete pre-start PIT maintenance inspection report;
Follow proper trailer loading and unloading lock-out/tag-out procedure;
Complete receiving report to accurately record materials received;
Submit receiving reports after trailer is unloaded;
Complete load sheet to accurately record the grades, bale count, loading start/stop times for finished goods on outbound shipments;
Complete and submit load sheet at completion of shipment;
Understand and follow load pattern according to trailer, railcart
Follow all safety rules and practices at all times; and
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years PIT experience
• Previous PIT operating experience in an industrial manufacturing or other labor intensive work experience is required
• Know what a monotrol pedal is and how it operates
• Be able to multitask in a very fast-paced environment
• Be computer literate and effectively use scanning equipment and arranging for the transportation of products
• The ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team
• Must successfully pass employer test

Nice To Haves

• A background as an order picker is preferred
• Corrugated industry manufacturing environment preferred
