About The Position

The Raw Material Handler will operate an industrial forklift truck to accomplish various materials handling assignments supporting production. This role involves conducting forklift safety inspections, moving products from staging areas to production, tracking raw materials using scanning and inventory control, transporting products to various locations including combo dumps, scales, loading docks, and storage areas, and managing pallets and other supplies.

Requirements

• Basic math, language, and reading skills
• Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly
• Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license
• Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test

Responsibilities

• Operate an industrial forklift truck to accomplish various materials handling assignments supporting production
• Conducts a Forklift safety inspection prior to use according to guidelines
• Pulls product from staging areas and moves them to production
• Tracks raw materials through proper use of scanning, inventory control and reporting issues
• Transports products to and from various locations including combo dumps, scales, loading docks, and storage areas
• Removes empty combos from the dump and breaks down the combo for recycling and takes liner to trash area
• Reports any problems with product or equipment to supervisor
• Manages pallets and other supplies in specified areas
• Performs other related duties as requested
