About The Position

The Shipping Dock Coordinator will ensure the accuracy, security, and readiness of all outbound shipments in the Shipping department. This role is responsible for preparing completed pallets for shipment, validating shipment weights, ensuring all shipping documentation is correct, and maintaining direct communication with freight carriers and drivers. This role will also verify the work of other shipping team members to uphold accuracy and compliance standards while wrapping completed pallets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Experience using RF scanners required; SAP ERP experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of pallet wrapping techniques and load securement best practices preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot and correct errors in documentation and shipments.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the proven ability to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for direct interaction with freight carriers, drivers, and internal teams.
  • Basic computer skills and prior knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with standard freight carrier documentation and shipping processes.

Responsibilities

  • Wrap and secure all completed pallets in preparation for shipping to ensure load stability and product protection.
  • Validate and record shipment weights prior to releasing freight for transport.
  • Review all outbound shipping documentation for accuracy and completeness, including Bills of Lading, packing slips, and carrier forms.
  • Utilize RF scanning guns to scan and track outgoing shipments in the company system.
  • Verify all pick lists prepared by other shipping associates to ensure order accuracy and completeness before freight departs.
  • Coordinate directly with drivers and freight carriers to confirm shipping schedules, load requirements, and delivery expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with company shipping procedures, carrier requirements, and applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain the shipping area in a clean, organized, and safe condition, adhering to all workplace safety rules and GMP guidelines.
  • Assist with other warehouse or logistics tasks assigned by management.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
