You’ll get to: Coordinate shipping department employees, ensuring they are keeping product flowing in a timely manner; assist them in issues they may have with picking the orders, keeping on time, and being focused on their job. Plan, schedule, and coordinate all shipping activities to ensure timely delivery of products. Follow customers preferred way of routing. Schedule on Customers Website of choice, email customer information about shipment or Customer has an already chosen provider on the BOL Prepare customs or Commercial invoice for exports and prepare shippers letter of instructions. Utilize the shipping processor to send tubs of product out to various platers in a timely manner Combine shipping documents, labels, and bills of lading for each customer; combining orders that ship to a pool location. Coordinate with carriers and track deliveries. Communicate with customers regarding shipping details, delivery schedules, and any routing delays as you are able to track in JDE per Supply and Demand, following the 7 day, or verifying via freight company website. Provide excellent customer service by facilitating communication between Customer service Reps and the customer. Helping address inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities, scanning documents into a community folder and making sure all coordinators are informed. Identify and resolve any shipping discrepancies, delays or issues by working with the Master Planner, the data specialist, or the purchasing manager. Work collaboratively with internal teams to address and prevent future problems. Keeping in contact with the production manager and plant manger concerning any issues. Complete the Advanced Shipment Notification in AS400 or on the customers website per customer specifications. Correctly completing Export Compliance and filing forms with the government for parts that ship out of the US. Make sure that inventory levels are accurate in the warehouse by assisting with cycle counts. Assist Quality department with any part inquiries or issues; ie, putting parts on hold, bringing back returned parts, sending suspect parts out to be inspected. Trouble shoot any shipping issues that may arise; lost freight, missing package, damaged product. Ensure all shipping activities comply with company policies, industry regulations and safety standards. Maintain supply counts to ensure we are able to box parts, label parts, wrap parts, and ship them on pallets to the customer; ensuring all supplies are within compliance standards. Maintain housekeeping standards.; 5S Must be available for overtime. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
