About The Position

The Shipping Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the logistics and documentation necessary for the efficient shipment of products from the fabrication shop to customers or other destinations. This position ensures that shipments are delivered on time, in good condition, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and customer requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in logistics and shipping coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the scheduling and coordination of shipments for finished products and materials.
• Plan and optimize logistics routes for timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels for finished products and materials awaiting shipment.
• Oversee the packaging and labeling of products to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including customs forms and shipping labels.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding shipping inquiries and delivery schedules.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure quality standards are met before dispatch.
• Monitor shipping costs and seek cost-effective solutions.
• Stay informed about shipping regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the shipping and logistics function.
