About The Position

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for supervising and leading team members in the daily operations of the Shipping department. This role involves maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, safety, and a healthy work environment while assisting the Shipping Manager with operational responsibilities.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in a supervisory role within shipping or logistics.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to schedule and assign tasks effectively.
• Experience in monitoring production progress and resolving issues.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead team members in daily operations of the Shipping department.
• Maintain costs, quality standards, safety, and a healthy environment.
• Assist the Shipping Manager in daily operational responsibilities.
• Build strong relationships with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and manufacturing support groups.
• Schedule and assign team members to complete the production plan.
• Monitor progress, revise schedules, and resolve problems as they arise.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and counseling to team members for personal growth and compliance with procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts related to products and processes.
• Provide technical guidance to interpret, analyze, and resolve procurement and production opportunities.
