About the position
We are excited to welcome a 2nd-shift Shipping Clerk (internally called Shipping and Tire Inspector) to join our new Newville, PA location. Pay: Starting at $21/hr and up, based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate yard truck for trailer swaps and yard moves safely.
- Load/unload vans using forklifts/clamp truck.
- Inspect tires to assess condition: sell, repair, or scrap.
- Collect and sign Bills of Lading from drivers.
- Work with production to supply correct materials to meet demands.
- Maintain a clean shipping area, dock, and storage yard.
- Operate magnet and sweeper to prevent metal/rubber buildup.
- Submit maintenance requests.
- Assemble Orders – package – wrap and strap – weigh pallets.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and/or 4+ years of relevant experience.
- 1+ years of recent forklift/clamp truck experience.
- Ability to multitask, adapt, and work under pressure.
- Proficient in basic math and reading units of measure.
- Strong communication skills and computer proficiency; ERP experience preferred.
