Summary of the Position: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for shipping outbound orders, recording and controlling all shipping documents both internally and externally. Duties and Responsibilities: Records and controls all shipping documents. Ships orders through the Warehouse Management System (WMS)/QAD. Calls carriers for pick-ups. Interacts with internal and external customers. Ensures that orders are beingmunicated to the wave planner when carriers show up for pick-up. Ensures carriers sign bill of lading correctly. Prepares daily work orders for Operations. Maintains clean work area at all times. Helps staff in cleaning efforts as directed by department supervisor. General office activities and other duties as assigned by supervisor. Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements. Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality. Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management. Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas. Responsible for enhancing technical and functionalpetencies, as well as professional and leadership development.
