Shipping & Receiving Clerk 1 Job Description: Responsible for receiving, storing and distributing materials and equipment. Ensures correct delivery and shipment of materials to internal and external customers. Requirements
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- RF Smart experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Experience in material handling preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs work per work instructions
- Operates hand truck & fork lift
- Unpacks and confirms incoming non-stock receipts checking for correct item, quantity and free of damage
- Communicates with shipper to rectify shortages/damages
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track purchase orders
- Responsible for planning for returns of items to suppliers
- Responsible for delivery of items to points of use
- Required to make pick-ups and deliveries using company vehicle
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
- Practice 5S
- Preparation of load list to OB, verification of shipment, & create and ship TR for shipment
- Work with OB team regarding shipments/ incoming trucks through email communication
