About The Position

As a Shipping Clerk, you’ll help get customer orders ready for shipment. This includes packaging parts, labeling boxes, generating shipping documents, and entering shipment information in the ERP system. You’ll also verify product weights, counts, and accuracy before items leave the facility. This role follows established shipping procedures and helps keep the shipping area organized and efficient.

Requirements

• Basic math skills for weighing, counting, and verifying shipments
• Ability to use computers or tablets to record and access shipping information
• Ability to follow written and electronic work instructions
• Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy throughout the shift
• 1–6 months of relevant work experience required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of packaged materials and containers
• Use of hands for labeling, scanning, weighing, and banding tasks
• Required PPE: eye protection, hearing protection, MET guard safety shoes

Responsibilities

• Ensure scales are accurately weighing and counting products
• Package products according to customer specifications
• Enter shipment details into the ERP system and print required documents
• Attach shipping documents and labels to packaged materials
• Wrap and band palletized containers to prevent shifting during transport
• Verify that correct items and quantities are prepared for shipment
• Follow shipping department procedures and work instructions
• Maintain an organized and efficient shipping workspace
