About The Position

Overview of the Position:

Learn and understand the operation of shipping computer software (Pentagon
tracking system). Move boxes ranging from 1 cubic foot to 4'x2'x2'. Pack parts
for shipping using packaging materials applicable to specific customer
requirement, tape boxes shut, create shipping labels and weigh packages.

Requirements

• Must read and write English.
• Must have basic computer software and keyboarding skills.
• Must have H.S. Diploma or GED
• Must have 3 months to 2 years ACI experience or related outside experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand the operation of shipping computer software.
• Pack parts for shipping, tape boxes shut, and weigh packages.
• Use power hand tools to close boxes.
• Create shipping labels and packing slips.
• File invoices, purchase orders and packing slips.
• Complete international shipping documents
• Scheduling pick-up and deliveries via various shipping companies/freight carriers
• RCRA Hazardous waste management 40CFR265.16 compliance
• Interfacing with FedEx, DHL and UPS (in person and web based)
• Experience with FedEx, UPS and DHL computer applications
• ITAR compliance
• Customer communications
• Knowledge and compliance with ATA 300 packaging/shipping specification
