About The Position

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for overseeing the shipment of all goods from the facility, ensuring timely and accurate processing of both domestic and international orders. This role includes maintaining precise inventory records, coordinating with carriers, and adhering to export regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. In this role you will: • Prepare and process domestic and international shipments, including invoices, packing slips, labels, and customs documentation. • Monitor outbound shelves to ensure items are ready for shipping and correctly picked. • Verify orders for shipment, ensure inventory reduction for each item, confirm correct serial numbers, and validate the packing list. • Process shipments in accordance with customer requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely delivery of goods. • Ensure all international shipments comply with export regulations and customs requirements. • Determine the most appropriate packaging based on the size, contents, and shipping method of each order. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times. • Ensure adequate inventory levels of materials within the shipping area (e.g., cardboard, packing paper, etc.).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes, with experience in export/import documentation and regulations (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL).
  • Proficiency in shipping software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with various departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification.
