We are looking for a responsible Shipping & Receiving Clerk with a CDL to order and receive product, move/disseminate product through the facility and prepare product for shipping. Candidate should have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. The candidate should have some physical strengths to unload shipments as well as some computer and clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers. SHIFT DETAILS Working Shift: Mon-Fri 7am-3pm Training Shift: Mon-Fri 7am-3pm
Requirements
- Proven experience working in shipping and receiving or similar position
- Experience in operating forklifts
- Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data (axiom a plus)
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations
- Basic math and recording abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Great communication and interpersonal abilities
- Keen eye for detail
Nice To Haves
- CDL Class B license (preferred not required)
Responsibilities
- Review documentation / work orders, check paperwork
- Set up and prepare product for shipping: o Move product in/around the facility & reel yard, Build cradles, Prepare product: weigh, wrap, document / check documents, and load and unload trucks
- Operate variety of vehicles inside and outside of building
- Organize, fill and replace fork truck propane cylinders.
- Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
- Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
- Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
- Communicate with supervisors/managers and lead operators
- Perform other duties as assigned
