2nd Shift -Shipping Clerk
About The Position
Kent Quality Foods, a premier manufacturer of specialty meat products, located in Hudsonville, MI is searching for a 2nd shift shipping clerk to join our team. We are an established business with five decades of success, and even though you may not know our name, you will surely know our products. Key Responsibilities & Position Description: 70% of Job Back-up Hilo Driver for Team members Transferring items between facilities Back up shuttle loading and unloading Assist loading out bound trucks when needed Communicate with QA to release daily holds and same day ships Help fill in where needed within department Know all warehouse material positions 30% of Job Printing load sheets and Bill of landing Printing Pick Tickets Emails Customers, Carriers and internal Sending customer electronic orders Assemble and send Temp check sheet emails to our customers/partners? Working with Inbound/Outbound truck drivers Managing/update the shipping schedule Scheduling appointment dates/Time for shipments Re-picking and modifying pick tickets Transferring items between facilities Back up shuttle loading and unloading Assist loading out bound trucks when needed Communicate with QA to release daily holds and same day ships Help fill in where needed within department Know all warehouse material positions
Requirements
- Some experience in a warehouse environment preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills
- Team oriented
- Integrity and trust with strong work ethic
- Superior communication skills both verbally and written
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong prioritization skills
- Problem solving skills
