About The Position

Packages, stores, pulls, and ships completed units and raw material for delivery to customers and other AE sites. Interfaces with other departments and freight carriers regularly.

Requirements

  • PC skills; ability to learn new software applications

  • Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices
  • Ability to multi-task and perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience in shipping, storeroom, warehousing, or other material handling position required
  • Experience with Microsoft applications desired
  • Experience with AESDirect desired
  • Ability to train other personnel and investigate problems
  • Able to perform regularly and accurately in all Shipping functions
  • Regularly interfaces with other departments to resolve issues
  • Intermediate computer knowledge to include Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Minimum of 2 years of shipping experience (or equivalent)
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that finished goods, repaired units, and raw material are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner.
  • Ensures materials are prepared and shipped as per production, repair, or remotes site (spare parts) schedules
  • Ensures data accuracy of Electronic Export Information (EEI) filing through the government portal.
  • Ensures EEI is filed in compliance with Export Administration Regulations.
  • Performs all necessary transactions in AE software, freight carrier systems, and government agency websites
  • Lifts heavy items and operates a forklift.
  • Performs daily cycle counts and helps resolve discrepancies
  • Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control
  • Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
  • Orders packaging material as needed
  • Interfaces with Sales, Planning, and other organizations to ensure needs are met and to help resolve problems
  • Interfaces with freight carriers to schedule pick-ups, track shipments, etc.
  • TIB processing, updating and managing temporary import bond documents and data
  • Other duties as assigned
