Responsible for daily shipment of product and documentation of shipments. Works closely with Customer Service representatives to ensure shipments meet customers' ever-changing priorities. Counts product, transacts order in ERP system, and prepares shipping documents. Maintains inventory of components and issues them to work orders. Selects appropriate packaging to ensure product is received with no damage. Assembles boxes, foam and other packaging materials. Prints and affixes labels to product. Maintains inventory of packaging and shipping supplies such as labels, trays and boxes. Keeps Shipping area clean and organized. Identifies opportunities for improving Shipping processes. Assists in other areas as assigned e.g. Receiving, Lapping, Clean Room etc. This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses equipment such as computers, phones, packaging & kraft tape dispensers, and label printers. Shipping Clerk will need to occasionally lift and carry 60 pounds. May operate fork truck and/or pallet jack. Infrequent travel (<5%) is expected.
