About The Position

Primarily responsible for serving as Shipping Clerk; process shipping paperwork; inventory. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
• Previous experience in shipping a plus
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Ability to interact with operational and processing management.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Skilled in use of PC, Microsoft applications, and email.
• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required
• Ability to work in hot, wet and/or cold environment
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Will be exposed to noise

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math functions and skills.
• Poultry industry experience.
• Previous experience in shipping a plus

Responsibilities

• Ability to Scan and track pallets from production into the cooler.
• Must be able to perform all jobs in the department.
• Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers
• Do all tasks assigned by members of management
• Must be able to perform additional duties as assigned
• Enforce safety regulations and practices
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, SSOPs, and USDA requirements
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of trailers
• Plan and implement process improvements
• Actively participate in team meetings
• All other duties as assigned.
