The primary duty of all Shipping Clerks is to pull, assemble, package, label, and ship explosive/non-explosive materials according to quality paperwork, packing slip and current DOT 49CFR/IATA regulations. This position will also transport explosive/non-explosive materials to and from various production buildings and Magazines and log accordingly. Create Freight Bills and DG Declarations for both Hazardous and Non-Hazardous shipments. Use of Fed-Ex and UPS Ship manager Hardware/ Software to ship product. Receipt and inspection of inbound materials. Pull and stock production kits, MRO, and Line supplies. Clean as you go and maintain packaging inventory areas. Perform various material handling duties related to job tasks. Verifies Receiving, Work Order and Shipping data for quality and accuracy. Must be able to obtain certification in 49CFR/IATA for shipping and handling of dangerous goods. Must be able to obtain Forklift and Electric hand truck competency training and certification. Under general guidance of Supervisor and Transportation personnel, creates Bill of Ladings and schedules trucks for pick-up/ Delivery of inert and Dangerous goods. Must possess valid driver license and meet DOT requirements. Must obtain knowledge of Government Bills of Lading (GBL). Performs cycle counts and physical inventories of raw and finished materials. Perform Daily standard work and 5S. Assist drivers in processing daily paperwork and parts. Perform other duties as assigned.
