About The Position

The Shipping Clerk Supervisor oversees daily shipping operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant shipment of products. This role supervises shipping clerks, coordinates with internal departments, and ensures all outbound orders meet customer, company, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills (shipping systems, ERP, or WMS experience preferred)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs. regularly
Ability to work in a warehouse or production environment

Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred

Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and support shipping clerks to ensure efficient daily operations
Coordinate and prioritize outbound shipments to meet delivery schedules
Verify accuracy of shipping documents, labels, bills of lading, and packing lists
Ensure proper handling, staging, and loading of outbound freight
Monitor carrier performance and communicate with carriers as needed
Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and shipping regulations
Resolve shipping errors, discrepancies, or customer delivery issues
Collaborate with production, warehouse, quality assurance, and customer service teams
Track shipping metrics and report performance or issues to management
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area
Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and performance feedback for shipping staff
