About The Position

A Shipping Clerk/Parts Assistant at Idaho Steel, Kiremko, and Reyco maintains records of shipments, prepares shipping documents and packages, reconciles bill of lading with materials and actual shipment arrivals, maintains the inventory management system, and assists with parts orders. They must have good computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite), proficient organizational skills, knowledge of supply chain management, and great customer service skills. The person must be willing to take direction and perform a variety of tasks as requested. The person is required to work well with others and always interface professionally with the customer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk/stand for a large percentage of the workday. The job also requires a lot of kneeling and bending.
  • Climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Wearing required personal protective equipment (safety glasses, work boots, gloves, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare shipping documents and packages in a professional manner.
  • Maintain records of shipments.
  • Maintain inventory management system and keep parts room organized and functioning.
  • Deliver buyout parts to the service department areas as well as factories as needed.
  • Understand the safety policies of the shop and follow the shop safety practices.
  • Have and retain a current driver’s license and good driving skills.
  • Pass forklift class to drive forklift as needed safely and efficiently.
