About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Supervisor, the Shipping Clerk I is responsible for packing and shipping prescriptions following all shipping procedures. This is an onsite position requiring in-office presence, and candidates should be located within comfortable driving distance of Lakeland, FL. The role offers various schedules including Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 12:30am, Monday to Friday: 12pm to 8:30pm, and Friday to Sunday: 7am to 7:30pm. Training is provided Monday - Friday 10:am - 6:30pm for approximately 2 weeks.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift 30lbs.
Ability to drive a handheld forklift.
Ability to work in a standing environment.
Ability to communicate effectively, patiently and courteously.
Focused team player, who can work in conjunction with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and management.
Work independently with little supervision and meet daily deadlines.
Ability to perform repetitious work accurately.
Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once.
Attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

One year minimum of shipping/receiving experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Accurately ship prescription orders for all three pharmacies in a timely manner.
Follow all shipping procedures and each step on the shipping checklist when packaging an order.
Responsible for stocking freezers with ice packs.
Respect and maintain confidentiality guidelines of HIPAA.
Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and stocked.
Accountable for receiving and signing for all deliveries that come into the facility.
Responsible for keeping area clean and adequately stocked with boxes and supplies.
Follow and aid in enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
Responsible for ordering supplies and boxes when needed.
Accountable for contacting the courier or post office for any reason such as late pick-ups or special requests.
Responsible for other duties as assigned.
