About The Position

SP Industries Inc. is expanding our team in Vineland, NJ and have an immediate opening for a Shipping Associate. In this role, the right candidate will be responsible for preparing, processing, and coordinating all outgoing shipments to external customers. This role ensures orders are accurately packaged, documented, and shipped in accordance with company standards and customer requirements. The position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.   Hours are Monday- Thursday on 1st Shift - 4/10s schedule.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics preferred
  • Experience with external carrier systems strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with freight documentation and customer shipping requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills (data entry, shipping software, email)
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Forklift certification preferred (if applicable)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • HSE
  • All employees have the responsibility to work in a safe manner and report any health, safety or environmental concern to their manager or supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods
  • Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts
  • Report defect in any equipment or protective device
  • Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
  • Attend all required health, safety and environmental training
  • Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
  • Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
  • Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics preferred

  • Forklift certification preferred (if applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, package, and label all outgoing customer shipments
  • Verify order accuracy prior to shipment (product, quantity, and documentation)
  • Process shipments using carrier systems (e.g., UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, etc.)
  • Generate packing slips, bills of lading (BOL), and shipping labels as required
  • Schedule pickups and coordinate with external carriers and freight companies
  • Ensure shipments meet customer specifications and carrier regulations
  • Inspect outgoing products to confirm quality and condition
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and tracking information
  • Communicate shipment status with internal teams as needed
  • Assist with loading shipments onto delivery trucks or freight carriers
  • Maintain a clean and safe shipping area
