Requirements

  • Prepare products for shipping by utilizing various packaging methods including roll-packing and bagging.
  • Have a solid understanding of internal packing/shipping terminology and complete required paperwork.
  • Pass required exam of basic math and English.
  • Ability to prioritize and distribute work out accordingly.
  • Communication skills a must. Both through email and face to face.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects and packages products in compliance with blueprints/part/customer specifications.
  • Operates necessary scales/equipment related to the assigned product.
  • Works as a Shipping Clerk as needed: processing parcels through UPS/FedEx, completing BOL’s, loading trucks, etc.
  • Identifies and reports all products that fail to meet appropriate specifications/rejected products to Supervisor.
  • Works at the Data Desk as needed: entering jobs into the computer database, sending/replying to emails, identifying, and prioritizing urgent orders, communicating with team, etc.
  • Reads, understands, and follows customer specific notes.
  • Participates in cross-departmental work production based on business needs.
  • Learns and upholds defined quality standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and optimize work efficiency
