Under direction of Shipping Supervisor or their designee, performs various aspects of shipping and receiving baby changing tables, highchairs, and seating products. This position is responsible for physically preparing and shipping orders as dictated by daily pick slip print jobs and in accordance with KKP’s shipping guidelines. In addition, the person in this position will also conduct cycle counts of finished goods; works as back up to the receiving staff; coordinates customer pick-ups and completes shipping and export paperwork.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or general education degree (GED)
  • Organization skills, communication skills, computer skills.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in escalation scenarios.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as shipping charges, weights, and inventory counts.
  • The employee is regularly required to sit and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The position requires the employee to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews Shipping Dashboard for orders and prints orders needing to be shipped
  • Learn all Finished Goods part numbers and locations
  • Palletizes and bands boxes that are returned /shipped to vendors
  • Email etiquette, both internal communication and with external companies
  • Uses computer to generate Pick Lists, checks stock levels and available quantities.
  • Pulls/packs and assembles customer orders using scanning guns
  • Inputs and verifies correct shipping data during pack conformation
  • Participates in annual inventory with accuracy
  • Packages orders to fit customer specifications
  • Utilizes FIFO when pulling orders
  • Operates powered industrial trucks and other equipment
  • Assists in truck preparation, loading and unloading as needed
  • Verifies receipts for quantity and condition
  • Removes and disposes of trash from department
  • Maintains a safe and organized work environment.
