About The Position

Valley Cabinet Inc. is looking for a 1st shift Shipping Associate! Starting at $17 an hour based on experience! Work Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday: 6:00am - 3:00pm & Friday: 6:00am - Noon Who we are: Valley Cabinet is a family-owned and operated company providing the finest quality custom wood cabinetry! What you will do: A Shipping Associate is responsible for the quality assurance and packaging of cabinet doors and related components.

Requirements

  • Prepare and package the product for shipment and/or customer pick up according to company specifications.
  • Organize, prioritize, and prepare shipments per schedule.
  • Skid and wrap boxed product/containers.
  • Table saw and vertical saw operation
  • Use of computer to enter shipping information
  • Ensure work orders are completed successfully, on-time, and meet customer specifications.
  • Work efficiently while paying attention to detail.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety rules and contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Participate and contribute to a “Team” environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • No required education or job experience.
  • Ability to learn and retain on the job training.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read measurement tools such as a tape measure.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions in English.
  • Ability to meet quality standards - strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to consistently meet/exceed production quotas.
  • Sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moving, bending, standing, kneeling, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity.
  • Exposure to high noise levels and requires wearing hearing protection in designated areas.
