Shipper 1 is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping parts, products, and machinery for customer orders. This role also assists and provides backup support for other team members in Shipping and Receiving. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with others to exchange information.
- Ability to follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to be trained and qualified to operate powered lift trucks.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand instructions in English.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics preferred.
- Familiarity with an ERP/MRP system.
- Familiarity with UPS & FEDEX label machines, packing tape dispensers, banders, pallet wrappers, manual & powered hand trucks, forklifts, battery chargers, pneumatic staplers, and protective eyewear preferred.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and consolidate materials for domestic customer orders.
- Inspect items to make certain all Job Ticket requirements are met.
- Fold, staple, and tape corrugated cartons in preparation for packing.
- Secure large shipments on skids, pallets, or crates.
- Process ERP transactions, including the capture of product serial numbers.
- Process shipments using UPS and FEDEX systems.
- Generate and attach shipping labels, Airway Bills, and Bills of Lading.
- Operate powered industrial lift trucks (formal qualification is required).
- Assist carriers in loading their trucks.
- Monitor and respond to voicemail and email messages daily.
- Troubleshoot and help resolve shipping issues and customer complaints.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
