Shipper 1 is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping parts, products, and machinery for customer orders. This role also assists and provides backup support for other team members in Shipping and Receiving. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with others to exchange information.
  • Ability to follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to be trained and qualified to operate powered lift trucks.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand instructions in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics preferred.
  • Familiarity with an ERP/MRP system.
  • Familiarity with UPS & FEDEX label machines, packing tape dispensers, banders, pallet wrappers, manual & powered hand trucks, forklifts, battery chargers, pneumatic staplers, and protective eyewear preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and consolidate materials for domestic customer orders.
  • Inspect items to make certain all Job Ticket requirements are met.
  • Fold, staple, and tape corrugated cartons in preparation for packing.
  • Secure large shipments on skids, pallets, or crates.
  • Process ERP transactions, including the capture of product serial numbers.
  • Process shipments using UPS and FEDEX systems.
  • Generate and attach shipping labels, Airway Bills, and Bills of Lading.
  • Operate powered industrial lift trucks (formal qualification is required).
  • Assist carriers in loading their trucks.
  • Monitor and respond to voicemail and email messages daily.
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve shipping issues and customer complaints.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
