About The Position

The Shipping Associate will be responsible for various tasks within the Shipping Department, including staging materials from inbound, organizing production, and managing shipments. The role requires basic knowledge of mowers and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Key responsibilities include inspecting materials upon receipt and before shipment, loading outbound trucks according to pick sheets, and ensuring the quality of products before loading. The associate will prioritize orders, position trucks for loading, and retrieve products from other warehouses as necessary. Effective communication skills are essential, as is adherence to the work schedule and attendance policy. The position may require overtime based on business demands, and a valid Bad Boy forklift certificate is necessary. The associate must demonstrate excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to work independently while also being a team player.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of mowers.
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Valid Bad Boy forklift certificate.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination with proficiency in operating technical machinery.

Responsibilities

• Stage materials from inbound, organizing production, and shipments.
• Inspect materials from receipt and before shipment for outgoing.
• Load outbound trucks/routes according to pick sheets.
• Physically inspect the product for quality before loading it onto trucks.
• Prioritize orders as needed before loading them onto trucks.
• Position the trucks in the docks for loading.
• Retrieve any product necessary for the day from other warehouses or work areas.
• Restock at the end of the shift and during it.
• Optimize loads to ensure operational efficiency.
• Secure loads for transportation.
