About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Team Lead coordinates daily warehouse operations related to the shipment and receipt of goods. This role ensures timely shipping to job sites, compliance with safety standards, and efficient workflow coordination. The Team Lead works with shipping and receiving associates to drive productivity and accuracy in all shipping and receiving functions.

Requirements

Strong organizational and communication skills.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations or associate degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations to meet production and job site delivery schedules.
Work with a team of shipping and receiving associates, coordinating tasks and providing training or coaching as needed.
Verify and process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in quantity, documentation, and condition of goods.
Maintain organized and safe storage areas (on site and off site); ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored.
Prepare shipping documents (bills of lading, packing lists, labels) and verify carrier information.
Work closely with production control to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory.
Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and production teams to address shipping or receiving issues.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies.
Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in implementing best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
