About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for supporting both outbound and inbound material flow. In Shipping, this role picks, packs, and coordinates product shipments to ensure on‑time delivery, accurate destinations, and undamaged products in alignment with Dristeem quality standards and customer expectations. In Receiving, this role processes all incoming materials, including purchase orders, transfers, customer returns, and inventory adjustments, ensuring accurate and timely entry into the system.

Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years related experience required.
  • Ability to operate a forklift or pass forklift certification.
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Products such as Excel and Word.
  • Intermediate level of ERP system and other technologies.
  • Intermediate level of experience with math and problem solving preferred.
  • Valid Minnesota state driver’s license.
  • DOT physical required for Class C for driving dock truck.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and cooperative.
  • Basic knowledge in proper use of hand tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels in the organization as well as externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple varied tasks, finding resources as needed.
  • High energy and able to think quickly.
  • Displays a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Shipping Responsibilities
  • Prepare product for shipment to include staging, packaging and processing sales orders in an organized manner to ensure high quality.
  • Confirm correct packaging, and proper quantities are shipped.
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, commercial invoices, USMCA Certificates and Bills of Lading in designated shipping software program, as well as any other required documentation.
  • Ensure shipping paperwork is completed properly and accurately.
  • Arrange for freight pickup and generates bills of lading and other required paperwork for domestic and international shipments using DriSteem or customer specified carriers.
  • Manually or mechanically load materials to trucks or other transport vehicles.
  • Communicate internally to resolve issues and answer questions in regards to orders.
  • Communicate status of order shipment, shipment specification or any other requested information.
  • Receiving Responsibilities
  • Receive and coordinate incoming shipments.
  • Properly label and store material in assigned location.
  • Store or deliver merchandise to correct warehouse or cell location as determined by system location and production requirements.
  • Ensure point of use storage in production cells are at an appropriate level.
  • Check all incoming product against purchase order to determine shortages/overages, and damage.
  • Record variances and notifies buyer when reorder where needed.
  • Perform accurate data entry transactions within ERP system along with accurately recording information to ensure material traceability/accountability.
  • Record inventory movement for items in the stockroom for several applications including MRB.
  • Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices or other transport vehicles.
  • General Responsibilities

  • Safety: Complies with any/all company safety and health rules and policies and promotes safe work practices. Report any safety concerns to a supervisor/manager.

  • Compliance: Ensures all processes are compliant to all regulatory bodies. Complies with the company and department policies and procedures as applicable.
  • Accountable to work cross functionally with shipping/receiving as needed.
  • Supports Lean initiatives, maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition, works safely, and complies with all established rules and work practices.
  • Monitor the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve timeliness, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Work with external vendors as needed.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of job related problems, and other information related to work activity.
  • Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
