About The Position

At Transnetyx, our work supports groundbreaking research that improves lives—and our operations team plays a critical role in making that happen. We’re seeking a part-time Shipping & Receiving Coordinator who thrives in an organized, hands-on environment and takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork. This position is Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., no weekends! This role is responsible for performing clerical and physical tasks related to all incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory control, and product lifecycle maintenance, while modeling the YX Ten core values, mission, and vision of Transnetyx.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0–2 years of shipping and receiving experience
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance (required)
  • Comfort using computers and Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook required)
  • Experience with shipping software (FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve independently
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive learner
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to stand or walk for up to 5 hours
  • Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and grasping
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds (including overhead lifting)
  • Ability to remain focused and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HIPAA-regulated environments (helpful, not required)
  • Experience with lot-controlled inventory (helpful, not required)

Responsibilities

  • Receive, scan, image, and properly log incoming shipments
  • Unpack shipments and record errors, damages, or shortages
  • Enter items into inventory management systems and stock or route items appropriately
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Perform weekly inventory cycle counts
  • Support product life cycle maintenance per company guidelines
  • Assemble, package, label, and ship orders for customers and internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with domestic, international, and regulated shipping standards
  • Manage delivery exceptions using shipping management software
  • Operate shipping platforms such as FedEx Ship Manager or UPS WorldShip
  • Drive company van as needed for deliveries or pickups
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure excellent internal and external service
  • Take initiative to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned
